September already!

Hardly seems to have been a great weather summer, but many were inspired by the Olympics and now the Paralympics.

No word from Nottinghamshire County Council on valuation as yet. I’m not sure how the figure will be arrived at, however, whatever it is we hope to negotiate it down to a level that is acceptable.

With 15 hours free child care being offered by government from today, a priority will be establishing the Nursery / Crèche as quickly as possible.

On the positive side, we are opening our bank accounts and will register for VAT, in order to recover repair and set up costs before contributing from VATable sales. We have applied for software grants as a nonprofit organisation and Sage are offering a generous discount on their products. This means we will have accounting software to help with short and long term records. We await a reply from the world’s largest relationship management software company to see if we qualify for their Foundation grant.

This will help with events, volunteers, staff, customers, donors and grant management application progression etc.

The next couple of weeks will be the critical point as we cannot progress further without an agreed price.

We wait impatiently.
