Meeting for ASK Hive

I have requested a meeting on Thursday 11th July at Averham Church, on Church Lane at 18:45, all locals, businesses and interested parties are invited.

The agenda is:

Appoint the following board members:

Chair

Secretary

Treasurer

Another

Agree the legal format for our organisation

Preferred format is a Community Benefit Society with asset lock, briefly this allows us to raise funds, mortgages, shares and gives credibility to grant applications especially where we can show significant support from our community.

It also allows flexibility in developing the Hive and can, when viable, pay dividends.

I shall propose that when it comes to Community shares these are priced at £25 per share, this is a low figure to encourage more of our population to sign up. They are not limited to purchasing 1 share, they can buy as many as they wish, but only have one vote irrespective of their holdings.

The final session will be a questions and answers element where we can answer where we can on position to date and some of the options that the board may pursue.
